The venue was
brilliant… the weather couldn’t have been ordered any better! and while
everyone took up Kolbeachs kind offer of lunch under the oaks you could
have been misgiven for thinking we had all headed up here for a social

and wine with the opportunity to inspect the lots pre-sale. It was a
time to meet some great people and with the emphases on breeding learn

On the whole …the day was a fantastic affair, well run and such an opportunity to see some beautiful horse flesh. Much excitement was headed towards the ‘colt’ Royalist, with the sad loss of his sire Camargue Tribute this was it… the chance to ensure the line goes on. The little bay stands at 13.1 hands and heavy interest had been shown for him from England, as well intense enquiries from with in Australia and New Zealand. Bidding opened and settled with some determined bidders …was he going to New Zealand or Australia or England? and Australia it is! South Australian’s Andrew Hunt & Charlotte Thompson are now the proud owners of Royalist for the winning bid of $20,000 |
