Our babies have been out and about with a great deal of success in the last couple of months, and the first group to come out under saddle have done all we expected of such lovely youngsters.

The Metherall Family’s Kolbeach Carnival began the year by winning the Royal Summer Horse Show Riding Pony Newcomer championship, and followed this up with the Hidden Valley Newcomer championship, and then topping this in the Barastoc Horse of the Year Large Pony Newcomer championship

He has impressed everyone who has seen him, not only with his good looks, but his lovely temperament. By Syon Splendour from the magnificent mare Waverley Festivity, he is a credit to both his parents, and to the Metherall’s presentation. pictured opposite>>

Kolbeach Frame, bought at the 2001 Finley Sale by Graham and Sue Elliot was Reserve small pony Newcomer at Hidden Valley and made the top ten small pony newcomer final at Barastoc. pictured left and below

At the South Australian Horse of the Year Show, three Kolbeach babies did exceptionally well.

The beautiful Kolbeach Promise, another lovely filly grandchild of the famous Thoroughbred Galloway mare Covers has continued to show the influence this great mare is having on our young-stock when she followed on her Royal Summer Horse Show success by winning first, lead yearling 11.3hh and n.e 12.3hh and runner up lead yearling champion at the Victorian Riding Pony Classic under noted English judge Liz Mansfield.

She is now in the paddock having a well-earned rest.

KB Mask pictured opposite won the Newcomer Championship for Big Ponies with Kolbeach Covers Reserve. Two very nice youngsters with the quality and temperament we always hope for.

Our little star Kolbeach Bouquet pictured below was awarded Reserve champion open small pony of the year while ridden by a nine-year-old child and will be our first home-bred representative at the EFA National Horse of the Year Championships in December. It is so exciting, and and Kolbeach Toystory made the top five..
