Across in Queensland, Toowoomba Royal produced more great results for Kolbeach ponies. Brooke Higgins certainly stole the show with her KOLBEACH CLASSIC (Keston Royal Occasion (Imp) /    Syon Sheer Delight (Imp)) and KOLBEACH FINERY (Fernleigh Fine Print / Janlyn Spring Carnival). CLASSIC took the Childs Ridden Pony Championship, with FINERY in Reserve, and not to be outdone, FINERY then went on to win the Open Small Pony Championship – congratulations Brooke.

In the led section, Rowena Cameron’s KOLBEACH TUNES (Fairley Tempest (Imp / Osory Spice Girl) won the Show Pony Mare or Gelding not exceeding 12.2, whilst back in the saddle ring, KOLBEACH SURPRISE (Jackets Bluebird / Necta Night Surprise) won the 12.2 – 13.2 Ridden Show Ponies.

News has reached us from the Drexel family in Western Australia that their Fairley Tempest son, KB DANCES, had his first outing of the season on 4th January, winning First and Champion Large Pony. DANCES is currently preparing for the trip East in March, to compete at the Riding Pony Nationals, the Grand Nationals and Sydney Royal.

The following week, The Victorian Riding Pony Society held their Classic Championship Show, where we were thrilled with the results of our own KOLBEACH BE FREE, who won the Champion Led 2 & 3 year old followed by the Supreme Youngstock Award under UK Judge, Peter Wilson. Later that evening, New South Wales judge Allan Preston, judged the Champion Of Champions final, where both Supreme and Reserve from the In Hand sections went to KOLBEACH ponies by FERNLEIGH FINE PRINT, with Lyn Warburtons KOLBEACH CLASS winning the Supreme and KOLBEACH BE FREE taking the Reserve Overall slot.
