Seven year old Kolbeach Memoir out of Radnor Memories by
Carmague Tribute looked and worked a treat before
English judge Ms Kirstine Douglas to take honors at the
prestigious Grand National Show. Held at Sydney’s
magnificent International Equestrian Centre - Horsely
Park and showcasing the best horses and ponies in the
country the size and quality of the Show pony classes
was outstanding. Kolbeach were thrilled to hear of not
only of Meme’s brilliant success for the Anderson
family, but also the success of many other Kolbeach
ponies and galloways in making the final line ups
including, Swell, Vogue, Promise and Classic.
Meme
was bought as a 2yo from the stud by Karen Anderson for
her then 10 yr old daughter Ashlee. Ashlee rode ‘Meme’
to win the 2005 South Australian EFA Newcomer class.
Success in open classes was soon on the agenda with 2006
RU EFA Small POTY at the SA Showhorse Council HOTY show
and Champion of Champions Show. In Feb 2007 Meme
was a popular runner-up of the EFA Small POTY. Following
a break due to EI by 2008 Ashley had outgrown Meme
and it was time for 9yr old sibling Jasmine to take over
the ride. With maturity and experience under his belt
Meme’s success was growing by being declared 2008 EFA SA
Small POTY, SA Showhorse Council Small POTY, and SA
Champion of Champion Small POTY. April 2009 and Meme’s
career is highlighted by wining the Grand National Small
Pony of the Year. Meme is a treasured member of
the Anderson family and Kolbeach are delighted with the
success he has achieved with them. |
