Barastoc saw Kolbeach ponies take out the Champion and
Supreme Ridden Riding Pony with Kolbeach Promise and
Reserve Champion Ridden Riding pony was Kolbeach Circus.
The Newcomer riding ponies saw many young Kolbeach faces
take top honours including Kolbeach Class the 4yr RP
Gelding owned by Lyn Warburton and shown by Darryl and
Linda Hayes. Class displayed impeccable manners and
style and we are sure this is just the start of a
wonderful future for a lovely pony. Holly’s Plays
another exciting youngster, owned and ridden by Sabrina
Jaeschke made the trip from South Australia. Plays was
the winner of the three prominent SA new comer awards in
late 2008 including ShowHorse Council, Champion of
Champions and The EFA HOTY Newcomer large pony of the
year. He did not disappoint at Barastoc standing second
in the the childrens RP 3rd in a strong open
13.2-14.2 ridden RP class and making the finals of both
the newcomer and open large pony events. A wonderful
result from a fresh new Kolbeach face and one that we
are sure to see a lot more of.
Open Barastoc pony NE 12.2 and K. Swell repeated her
small pony runner up award of 2008 for Roger Searle and
K. Promise was runner up large pony for Graeme and Sue
Elliot. It was a great result for Kolbeach to have bred
3 out of the 10 large pony finalists with K. Promise,
Holly’s Plays and Beach Carnival all representing the
stud in fine form. K. Circus out of the hugely
successful Waverley Festivity was also a finalist in the
Galloway section. |
