Open classes

The beautifully presented Royal Adelaide Showgrounds provided a wonderful stage for the Kolbeach ponies to perform at the SA EFA 2008 HOTY show. Kolbeach is proud of the fantastic results achieved and are delighted by the standard in which these ponies are produced by their owners. Kolbeach was victorious in the Open Small Pony with Kolbeach Memoir owned by the Anderson Family and ridden by 10yr old Jasmine. Open Large Pony winner Holly’s Spring (Kolbeach stud), 3^rd Holly’s Plays owned and ridden by Sabrina Jaenske and 4^th Kolbeach Be Free produced and ridden by Jenny Evans. KB Marine (Elise Williams) was placed 6^th in an extremely strong Galloway field.

Newcomer Classes

Three out of the top four placing were awarded to Kolbeach ponies in the Newcomer large pony class with Holly’s Plays the winner, Kolbeach Peter Pan 3^{rd (}S Faehmann) and Kolbeach Showgirl 4^th (A & C Hunt). Kolbeach Fanfare owned and ridden by Meagan Parij took out the r/u Newcomer Galloway.

Owner rider classes

Kolbeach took out the trifecta of owner rider classes with K. Memoir heading the line up of the small pony, Holly’s Plays the large pony and KB Marine the galloway section. 10yr Old Stacey Faehrmann partnered Kolbeach Peter Pan to stand 2^nd behind Holly’s Plays and Kolbeach Review was 3^rd in the Galloway class for Shelley and Chris Pollard.

A special mention should also be given to KB Rose Gold who assisted 10yr old Felicity Atkinson to earn her place representing South Australia at the National HOTY show in the Junior rider u14 class. Rose Gold is in his first season of showing and is owned by Felicity. KB Review (Owned by Shelley and Chris Pollard) is equally deserving of a mention after partnering Naomi Karutz in the 14 and u18 rider to also gain a place on the state team after being declared r/u Intermediate rider.
