This is the most exciting season for us. At last some of our home-bred babies are old enough to get out and about under saddle and that’s always what a stud hopes for.

It’s wonderful to be able to breed “in hand” champions and we have already shown we can do that, but this year some of our earlier sale babies will be making their debut as saddle ponies, and we wish everyone the greatest success with them.

We are busy at home at present with mares foaling and preparing the yearlings for the combined Kolbeach Kirreway sale in December.

The traditional photos and pedigrees presented on line will be available shortly, so keep visiting this site.

Our lovely imported mare Oldcourt Balalika pictured below photo Julie Wilson,  has retired to stud after Melbourne Show, after a solid campaign which gained her ribbonsat every Royal Show she attended, and which allowed people to see her and realise what a beautiful mare she is in type and temperament.  We look forward to her foals with great anticipation.

She will be joined in the brood mare paddock after the EFA Nationals by Ainthorpe Grace Darling who has had a sensational show career.

Our policy has always been not to over-show our great mares, but to breed them after a short and successful show career.

We were successful at Adelaide show with two very lovely fillies, Kolbeach Garland, a bright chestnut out of Sufton Wild Rose by Fairley Tempest and Kolbeach Bouquet, who will be prepared from home this year to compete out under saddle.
