Kolbeach Promise  

Graham and Sue Elliott of TorrensWay Riding pony Stud purchased Kolbeach Promise from the Kirreway / Kolbeach sale in 2003. Promise presented as a beautiful yearling filly and subsequently attracted a lot of interest, the bidding was keen but eventually she was knocked down to Graham for $22,000.

Kolbeach had entered Promise prior to the sale for the 2004 Melbourne Summer Show and it was here with her new owners the Elliott’s she won her Riding Pony yearling class and went on to be Junior Champion Riding Pony Filly. Promise continued her in hand success that year at the Riding Pony show, receiving the Runner-Up Led Yearling and the Runner-Up Grand Champion of Champions in hand Exhibit. Promise’s in hand career continued as a two and three year old winning many Supremes in hand at Agriculture shows and winning her class at the Melbourne Summer Show as both a two and three year old.

In August 2006 Promise was broken in, this was shortly followed by an impressive list of Newcomer victories under saddle.

However her success did not stop there with even more impressive victories in open company to follow.

Prepared and shown by Darryl and Linda Hayes, Promise has in the Elliott’s own words “surpassed all expectations and provided all of us a great deal of joy and happiness”.

At still only six years of age Promise has an envious list of performances and Kolbeach congratulates both the Elliott’s and the Hayes on the magnificent results Promise has and continues to achieve and wishes them the very best of luck for the future.
