Kolbeach Vogue  

5yr Old Kolb each Vogue affectionately known as Alice (s. Fernleigh Fine Print d. County Cover Girl gd. Covers) was purchased by the Madigan Family of Mckay, QLD, for their twelve yr old son TJ  from Terry VanHeythusen. Terry had originally purchased Vogue from the stud at the 2004 EFA National HOTY show Kolbeach Auction as a yearling.

Early in 2008 Alice left Victoria and headed North. During the year she competed at seven agriculture shows in both Western and Northern Qld for 7 Champion Galloway Hack awards, and Two Supreme Hack wins. At all 7 shows she also carried TJ to Champion Rider.  

In 2008 Alice attended two Horse of the Year shows for 3 titles and carried TJ to Champion Junior Rider at both.   

In August 2008 Alice completed at the Ekka, her first Royal show. Barely 5yrs old Alice was placed 3rd in the Ridden Riding pony 13.2hh-14.2hh, 2nd Novice Galloway 14hh-14.2hh, 5th Open Galloway 14hh-14.2hh, 1^st Gentleman’s Galloway 14hh-15hh and carried TJ to Champion Junior Rider.   

As 2009 rolls on Alice’s success is growing with an outstanding list of performances achieved at Toowoomba Royal.

This was quickly followed by making the Grand National Top 10 Small  Galloway and assisting TJ to Top 10 Rider 12 - 15 years. Against the best in Australia this was an extremely credible result.

Kolbeach are thrilled with the performances Alice has achieved to date with the Madigan family and are content with the nature Kolbeach ponies like Alice have made as a fairly consistent trait of the studs stock and consequently making them ideal for success in the showring.
